1. Quiet time - prayer and meditation
2. Nature time
4. Proper meals
5. Talking with a friend
These are all required for me to stay in balance. It has been an amazing discovery for me over the years to allow myself to open up and realize, I don't have to be superwoman, filling every minute of every day with a task to complete. I work at this everyday! I have great support from my family and my friends to keep me in check! As someone who tends to need to be in control, being OK with someone putting me in check, is HUGE growth! (Just ask my husband)
My challenge for you is to start to pay attention to your physical, mental and emotional well-being. Notice resistance, irritability, anxiety. What has gotten you to this point? Don't judge yourself for it. Don't criticize yourself for it. Just acknowledge it and start to find ways to shift back into balance!
1. Take time for yourself!
2. Adequate sleep (8 hours)
3. Nourishing food - proper diet
4. Exercise daily
5. Daily meditation and prayer
6. Learn to let go of what you know does not serve you!
7. Express yourself through creative writing, journaling or art!
