You see, we are always growing, expanding and understanding—even those who seem to be high on a spiritual path know and understand there is always the next season. For those who feel like they are still asleep or living underneath the armour of circumstance, it is never too late. Everyday is a new season—a gift of awakening. You may feel lost or uncertain at times, that is the work of the world around you and the enemy of your soul. Life's seasons are not grandiose dreams. Remember, God rejoices in simplicity. The seasons of life don't match the seasons of the calendar, and they don't necessarily correlate to life events such as marriage, children, jobs or retirement. I'm convinced that Life's Seasons are every day and we can choose how we show up in that season.
A dear friend in recovery shared with me that every day she wakes up and sees the day as a blank canvas . She creates the picture of her day on that canvas with God. At the end of the day, she can reflect on the beautiful art she co-created with gratitude and pride knowing that even in areas of challenge and difficulty, it is a beautiful work of art. And that the next day, she is given the opportunity to create again.
What is your season today? Transition? Waiting? Trial? Expanding? Whatever your season, close your eyes and see yourself as the person God created you to be. Take time to dig deep. It is beneath the layers of this world. No matter where you are today, the journey of self-discovery is life long. Even on the days when all things seem to align perfectly, we are still in a season. Be an explorer of your journey. Stay ever connected to the Oneness within you. It will never lead you astray.
