Summer is in full swing and the days are getting steamy. There are plenty of opportunities to chill out with yoga!
I will be holding regular classes on July 4th, 9:00 am Yoga Journey and 1:00 pm Pull Up A Chair Yoga at the Wellness Wheel. In honor of the holiday, these classes will be donation classes with all proceeds going to "Yoga for First Responders" and "Mindful Yoga Therapy for Veterans". If you are looking for something to keep you busy before the fireworks start, join me for a good cause!
In July I will be starting a recognition program called "Yogi of the Week". Each week I will choose someone who is dedicated to their practice and overall health and well-being on and off the mat. To honor their achievements, I will present them with a gift and share their success with the rest of the classes. Yes there will be pics!
I am extending the special pricing from June, so you can continue to take advantage of these great deals. Don't forget the referral bonus ~ for each referral that purchases a class package you get one class added to your package.
There will be no class, Friday, July 3rd. Holy Family Church is closed for the holiday.
The week of July 13-17, Holy Family Church will be having Vacation Bible School so we will not be able to have classes at the church. I will be moving Monday, July 13th and Friday, July 17th classes to the Wellness Wheel. Same time, 10:30 am.
Thank you for your commitment to your practice!
NOTICE: I’m accepting 3 new private yoga clients to start this month. My private yoga programs are designed to help you meet your mind-body wellness goals more quickly, particularly if you have a busy schedule and find that your health is suffering.
While all yoga supports you physically, emotionally and spiritually, private yoga lets you work on what makes sense for you, at your own pace. My focus is on you: your strength, flexibility, peace-of-mind, and balance. I’m looking to work with people who’d like to make big changes in their lives. Are you up for the challenge? I can only take 3 students because of my schedule, so please email me today if you’re interested: firstname.lastname@example.org

I hate to exercise, I have high blood pressure and stress out over the smallest things until now! I started yoga a little over one month ago. My dear friend Mary invited me to attend a yoga class with her just to try it out. She said she loved the teacher Jeannine and thought I would enjoy it and I had nothing to lose, the first class was free and bonus she rubs your feet at the end of class. She was right I loved the class, I love Jeannine and the people at the class are so nice.
I'm now very disappointed when I have to miss class. It has even inspired me to get out and walk more and be more active because I feel so much better. My blood pressure has dropped and next doctors visit I hope to be going off my medication and my stress level is all but gone. But when I do start to stress I now know how to breathe and calm myself and get through it, and I FEEL GOOD! Jeannine makes the class enjoyable and she is so calming and reminds you to breathe and hold your stomach in, she also gives you alternative ways to do the pose if something is hurting or gives you ways to challenge yourself, and she does little EXTRA things to make your yoga experience enjoyable. I leave the class so calm and feeling great. I have taken all of her classes Basic Yoga Journey, Pull Up A Char Yoga and Restorative and enjoy them all. My body is thanking me for it. — Terri B.
Orzo Caprese Salad Tomato Cups
A summer favorite of mine growing up was stuffed tomatoes. Usually my Mom would make them with either tuna salad or cottage cheese. We always had a huge garden and would grow most of our food for the summer. Here is a great twist on stuffed tomatoes. Great for a luncheon get together, shower or just to have on hand for any day of the week.
1 cup dry Orzo pasta
2 cups (10 oz) grape tomatoes, halved
1 to 2 cups cubed mozzarella cheese depending on your diet
5 basil leaves, chopped
3 tbs pesto sauce
1 tsp balsamic
Salt & Pepper
4 large tomatoes
Cook Orzo according to package directions. Toss with all ingredients, salt and pepper to taste. Chill Remove core from tomato and cut half-way to make wedges that open up like a star. Fill tomato cup with pasta. Make the pasta ahead and have it on hand for an easy lunch.
